BREAKING NEWS ALERT: Former U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar of Indiana—the statesmen, former mayor of Indianapolis, recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Rhodes Scholar who was Indiana’s longest serving member of Congress—has died. He was 87.
His health had declined in recent days due to complications from chronic inflammatory demylinating polyneuropathy, according to the Lugar Center.
