Scoop: Former 5th Congressional District Candidate Christina Hale joining Biden administration
Hale, a Democrat who challenged Republican Rep. Victoria Spartz in 2020, will be a political appointee.

FIRST IN IMPORTANTVILLE: Christina Hale, a former 2020 Democratic congressional candidate for Indiana’s 5th Congressional District, is expected to join the Biden administration as a managing director for communications for the International Development Finance Corp.
According to the agency’s website, it “partners with the private sector to finance solutions to the most critical challenges facing the developing world today,” investing in sectors such as energy, healthcare, critical infrastructure, and technology.
Hale is currently the chief executive officer of Hale Strategy. She served as an Indiana state representative from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, she ran as a candidate for lieutenant governor alongside John Gregg. She also served as the Kiwanis International Youth Programs executive director from 2018 to 2020.
